Merry Christmas and happy 2019 from everyone at Secret Source
It’s that time of year again and we just want to wish all our clients and friends a fantastic holiday season and a very prosperous New Year.
We’re still growing
We’ve been so busy over the last 12 months we barely noticed the Secret Source team has now grown to almost 30 developers. A fact that only dawned on us when we all sat down together for our Christmas bash.
While a couple of the team have moved on, we’ve welcomed 10 new colleagues to the bench during 2018. And delivered some of our largest, most challenging projects.
More great work from the team
Highlights for us have to include the new Maximus Maximise website, a custom-made template our developers created to brilliantly showcase the company’s very visual offering, complete with lots of high quality, fast-loading video.
The lavish one-page brochure site we designed and built for British wallpaper manufacturer Cole & Son was an absolute pleasure to work on, allowing our creative juices to run riot as we helped launch an extravagant new collection from designer Martyn Bullard.
In September we signed off on one of the biggest jobs we’ve ever undertaken, a partnership with the Royal Meteorological Society as technical solution provider for their Digital Transformation. Working collaboratively with the RMetS team to design and deliver a user-centric Drupal CMS powered website, the first stage of their transformation is now complete – providing a greatly improved online experience for their members and connecting up the organisation’s digital touchpoints.
Big in America
Our ongoing plan for global domination continued at full speed, launching two very different websites for American partners. Brick & Wonder is an ambitious new take on a well-established model, matching a curated list of real estate professionals with property developers and buyers.
The Nation’s Restaurant News on the other hand, is something of an institution in the United States, at least for the catering and hospitality industry. So it was a real privilege working with them to give one of their most recognised products – the Top 200 restaurant ranking report – an online home of its own.
Award nominated apps
Our apps team continue to collaborate with Apply4, developing the world’s leading event booking system to embrace new locations and features. Likewise, our support for ecommerce giant Backstreet Merch, managing the sale of official licensed merchandising for the music and entertainment industry, is now in its third year.
The growing reputation we have, as a reliable and trusted provider to the medical industry, just gets stronger too. Secret Source developers are currently working on a potentially life-saving tool for pregnant women, while our WebBeds application – developed in partnership with Wessex Clinical Networks – was shortlisted from over 1400 entries, to make the top 10 list of 2018’s best healthcare innovations.
And a new office
Over the summer we moved in to our new offices, a spacious former government repository we’ve completely remodelled to suit our needs.
Everybody took part in the move, spending a couple of days packing and hauling our gear across town to the new Secret Source HQ. We all had a blast and the whole thing was possibly the best bit of team building we’ve ever been a part of.
So, as we head into the festive season, everyone at Secret Source would like to take this opportunity to wish all the companies and teams we’ve worked with during 2018 a very merry Christmas and continued success over the coming year.
See you in 2019.
